DMCC is proud to announce the production of 13 episodes of a television series dedicated to drifting and the Canadian championship. This major announcement is the result of many years of sustained efforts and hard work in the organisation and production of international events as well as the development and promotion of the DMCC name and the sport of drifting. The goal of this one of a kind series is to allow spectators and people of all ages to experience this exciting sport by making them feel the sensations and thrills that drifting can bring! Hosted by Dany Bernier, a.k.a. Babu, this series dedicated to drifting promises to be refreshing and high in colour!
Broadcast starting October 2011, the 13 thirty-minute episodes will cover various subjects, both amusing and informative, such as:
- The history of drifting and its drivers
- Mechanical analysis and explanation of parts and drifting techniques
- Mechanics of drifting and judging criteria
- Portrait of 5 ‘’star’’ drivers and build-up of their profiles to be broadcast during race events
- Humorous clips on drifting and closed track stunts
- Best clips and shots of Canadian drifting
- Portrait of Chris Forsberg in the USA and a look at Pat Cyr, Canadian driver participating in the Formula D final at Irwindale, California
The DMCC championship is the only controlled skid series in Canada. Comprising two divisions – East and West – the series brings the top drivers from all over the country and the United States. DMCC is starting its 7th season as a professional racing series and certification authority in Canada. The series brings over 200 drivers, presents more than 10 events from Vancouver to Québec and draws over 80,000 spectators each season. Drift Mania’s mission is to promote drifting to fans of auto racing, extreme sports and hot cars, but also to an even larger customer base.
In the most secure and safe environments, Drift Mania delivers the fans an incredible experience showcasing the country’s best drivers fighting for the title of Drift Mania champion. The Canadian Drift Mania championship is the fastest growing motorsport in Canada. Controlled skidding (drifting) brings together the fastest cars, highly qualified drivers and hard-core fans.
Specialty channel, TVA Sports, was launched on Monday, September 12th to the greatest satisfaction of sports fans.
Offering widely varied programming, tough opinions as well as a team of analysts and commentators close to their fans, the new network offers a wide variety of events that will please even the toughest fanatics!
Available on digital cable networks, the channel will be unscrambled until November 30th through Vidéotron, Shaw Direct and other local television service providers.

Le Championnat DMCC est le seul circuit de dérapage contrôlé au Canada. Composé de 2 divisions (Est et Ouest), il réuni les pilotes de tous les coins du pays et des États-Unis. DMCC entreprend sa 7e saison en tant que circuit professionnel de dérapage contrôlé et organisme de certification au Canada regroupant plus de 200 pilotes, présentant plus de 10 compétitions allant de Vancouver jusqu’à Québec et en attirant plus de 80 000 spectateurs par an. Wrecked Magazine Issue 17 compiles interviews with the worlds top drifting champions from 2010. The cover highlights Vaughn Gittin Jr. after taking home the 2010 Formula Drift championship. Also inside is a great interview with James Deane talking about his future in Formula Drift and his 2010 ProDrift Ireland championship he won this year. DMCC Presents: Formula D LIVE: The OFFICIAL Formula D Rd. 7 Livestream viewing party

On October 9 from 7pm to 1am, DMCC is going to host a viewing party for the livestream of Rd. 6 of the 2010 Formula Drift Championships. The event will be held @ Formula Kartways in Brampton, and as part of the event. Formula Kartways will be providing some discount karting to guests.
The broadcast will be shown on a very large projection screen. In addition to the entertainment provided by the drivers of Formula D. We will have a DJ/Music on site, beer and liquor for sale, sexy spokesmodels, contests and giveaways, and of course some good eats. It will definitely be a good time!
for those of you not following FD this year, the last round should make for one hell of an end to the season. As the top 3 drivers are only seperated by less that 100 points, it’s still anybody’s ball game. So make sure your there to cheer on your favorite driver.
tickets will be $20.00, but that will include an awesome meal, and a beer ticket.

Another update from Chile is these photos posted on EDRFT. It looks like Tanner crashed in a practice and took down the whole track with it. I am really shocked to see Tanner Foust in his Formula D competition car while many others wisely took practice cars. The Super Drift event kicks off soon and by the looks of it, this wide open empty parking lot might be the cause of some more carnage by weekends end.

Drift Mania Round 5 happened at St-eustache Quebec, Canada where Matt Waldin took home the championship. Patrick Cyr and some other guys put up a great battle but the American took home a DMCC championship. The guys are all setup for Chile this weekend and drifting starts up tomorrow first thing. I grabbed these snapshots from Blair Stopnik who is in attendance with Chris Forsberg for the event. Other Formula D drivers such as Robbie Nishida, Tanner Foust, and Sam Hubinette are all in attendance for a weekend of sliding. The first snapshot is a setup of how the drifting demo area looks for the weekend of drifting.

Scion Racing at Irwindale Speedway
Irwindale Speedway marks the ending of Formula Drift every year. Tanner Foust and Ken Gushi geared up for a strong finish with the Scion tC team. The guys spend some time talking to the cameras and putting together some killer runs finishing off the Formula D season. Neither of them had a run for the championship but the Scion Racing team looked much better than years previous.

Formula D Drivers Invade South America

The country of Chile has some big hitters visiting for a huge demo in South America. Robbie Nishida, Chris Forsberg, and Tanner Foust are all out sliding their cars for the weekend. Chris Forsberg has already updated his blog from Chile so we will stay tuned to find out how things are going down there through the week.
